old skool blogging

I've dedicated this evening to catching up on my favorite blogs from a few years ago when all I did all day was catch up on my favorite blogs. Strangely, most of them were "mommy blogs." Some of my favorites are big deals now (see Dooce, Mighty Girl, and Suburban Bliss, among many others). When I think of blogging, I think of a giant network of women telling their stories and creating smart, supportive, creative communities. I'm glad that my first blog-reading experiences were made by women and I hope that as I get smarter and craftier, I can contribute too. Here's an excellent vadge-related post by Joy Unexpected.
